ProCalf is Denkavit’s integrated programme designed to optimise the health, growth and long-term performance of calves across the entire chain. By combining unique data, practical farm insights and specialist support, ProCalf helps dairy farmers and veal farmers work together to give calves the strongest possible start and ensure sustainable results.
Our vision for the future
ProCalf focuses on improving rearing practices for both dairy-born breeding calves and calves leaving the farm. The programme brings together key elements that support early-life growth, health, resilience and uniformity. Calves are weighed and classified at the collection centre, and their later performance at the veal farm is fed back to the dairy farmer. This creates a valuable learning loop, supported by youngstock specialists, to continuously improve rearing results.
With chain-wide cooperation and transparent data, ProCalf aims to build a future-oriented dairy and veal farming system where calves grow into healthier, stronger and more efficient animals.
