Innovation: a continuous process

The world changes constantly.

  • The nutritional requirements of young animals are continually evolving.
  • Raw materials markets fluctuate.
  • Social developments and new insights influence the development of new animal feeds and feed formulations.

Denkavit aims to lead the way in our world and to continue to grow. That is why we are highly committed to research and development. We are constantly developing new products, ideas, and applications to optimize your young animals’ growth and performance, now and in the future.

Our daily activities include research, field tests, and knowledge gathering. Renowned, well-trained specialists in our laboratories and centres are continuously working to optimize our feed products.

Laboratories

We own two laboratories, one in the Netherlands and one in France. Here we examine all incoming raw materials, testing them againstseveralf standard parameters. This takes place before a received shipment is unloaded into one of the raw material silos. The laboratories in the Netherlands and France are fitted with state-of-the-art equipment to conduct various analyses.

One of the tests of the raw materials is conducted by a human taste panel that monitors the taste and aroma of our raw materials. In addition to the incoming raw materials, the final products are also randomly sampled in the laboratory.

The laboratories are a vital component of our R&D. We conduct extensive studies in our laboratories for new and current raw materials, feeds, and concepts and conduct daily process controls of veal production using blood analyses.

DenkaFarm Innovation Centre

We have two Innovation Centres: one in the Netherlands and one in France. Here we conduct intensive research into the opportunities offered by various raw materials, product compositions, and feed concepts.

The research centre in the Netherlands consists of a pig farm with sows and piglets for studies aimed at pig farming and a veal farm for studies focused on veal production. In France, we have a veal farm with various housing systems. These research centres allow us to conduct studies on nutrition, housing, and animal welfare.

We also have several practical research farms where we test newly developed products and concepts before they are introduced to the market.
